Welcome to note #01 of Winding Down—a Sunday-specific post reflecting on everything I saw, ate, experienced, heard, watched, and dreamed about this past week. I’ll be sharing these posts every Sunday from now on, as weekends are my time to slow down and appreciate the inspirations that came my way. My intention is to explain the way I experience the world and the ways in which these experiences influence me—whether through mood boards created by others, new artists, or exciting products. Pour yourself a cup of something sweet and indulge in some scrolling with me!
Scrolled Past
A moodboard by Analuisa Corrigan, a ceramicist and lighting designer. Her designs truly captivate me with their unique blend of materials and shapes, drawing on a wealth of femininity from inspirations beyond her studio. Not only is she talented and beautiful, but she’s engaged to Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson fans will get it).
Took In
Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, currently on display at the MoMa. Last weekend, I packed the world’s most compact carry-on bag and headed to Manhattan with my partner, Calvin. It was his first time in the city, and my first time back since I moved away in February 2023. Having a variety of museums to choose from is a luxury I often take for granted, and it’s one of the things I miss most about city life. Cal’s family had a print of this piece by Picasso while he was growing up, so seeing it in person made the trip even more special.
Clicked Through
Brandon Maxwell’s SS 2025 showcase during NYFW. Although I tend to lean toward casual dressing, I am inherently drawn to tailoring and suiting. As the years go by and the lines in the fashion world blur, I find myself increasingly fascinated by menswear collections and how womenswear has taken inspiration from it. Having worked in fashion, I often felt I didn’t have a strong enough presence among the best dressed, so I really enjoy watching from the sidelines.
Dreamt About
The primary bedroom in this Greenwich Village town house recently featured on Architectural Digest. This property was designed by one of my favorite firms, Ashe Leandro. During my time in interior design, a mentor advised me that color is best used when the overall color story is cohesive throughout the home. When I saw the pops of red and blue in this shot, I immediately ran to flip through imagery of the rest of the project. Ashe Leandro did not disappoint with the color drenched rooms and slightly quirky color palette—dusky reds, Venetian blues, and mustard yellows. Props to the design firm, as well as to the often-overlooked photographers who beautifully capture the essence of the space.
Window Shopped
The Mille Pants by Sea, New York. There is something undeniably attractive about track pants, especially in navy. Last season, I snagged the most insane navy track pants from Madhappy, featuring a delicate crochet detail. You can now find them on Poshmark or The RealReal, although I can’t understand why anyone would want to give them up, considering I wore my pair into the ground. They were quite the investment, but I try to take a “cost per wear” approach to soften the initial shock of spending too much on what is essentially elevated loungewear. How many pairs of navy track pants is too many? Don’t answer that—at least not while I have these Mille Pants sitting in my cart.
